A professional home inspection protects a home buyer against disappointment and unexpected expense after a home has been purchased. A pre-purchase inspection identifies what major and minor flaws exist in a home (if any), what costs to anticipate later (the life expectancy and replacement of equipment, etc.), and what it will cost to alleviate any  problems. In general, a home inspection covers:

• Basic home structure, inside and out (soundness and durability).
• Roof and shingles (effectiveness and longevity)
• Plumbing, heating, electrical systems and equipment.
• Insulation, caulking and other energy saving features.
• Detection of toxic substances, i.e.: Carbon Monoxide
• Detection of water problems or dampness.
